DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wished that you could have met Abraham Lincoln?  It’s not too late.  In commemoration of the 160th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address\, for one night only\, our 16th president returns courtesy of writer\, actor\, and storyteller Jacob Truax.  Be transported to the world of Abraham Lincoln—politician\, lawyer\, husband\, and father—as Mr. Truax masterfully weaves Lincoln’s speeches\, letters\, anecdotes\, jokes\, and other Lincolniana into an unforgettable evening. \nFollowing the performance\, please join us for a reception featuring specialty cocktails created by Jacob inspired by Lincoln and his home state of Kentucky. (Your ticket price includes one beverage.) In addition Judge James Cotton\, who wrote the book The Greatest Speech\, Ever: The Remarkable Story of Abraham Lincoln and his Gettysburg Address which has inspired and been a resource for Jacob’s creation of this presentation\, will attend the performance and the reception where he will answer questions and sign his book. With 10 or more trails to choose from\, see which we’ll choose! Free and no reservation required. Just meet at 10 a.m. Eastern at the Historic Rugby Visitor Centre. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. Bring a hiking stick if you like. And finish the day exploring Rugby during Thanksgiving Marketplace with its shopping and tours.

DESCRIPTION:Visit Rugby’s shops to see crafts\, artworks and much more. Two days\, Nov. 24 & 25. The Rugby Commissary\, Spirit of Red Hill\, the Gallery at Historic Rugby will all be open with unique wares. Craft demonstrations and vendors will be present. The Canteen next to the Print Shop (also open) will offer soups to go both days\, warm and inviting. For questions\, please call 423-628-2441 Ext. 1 Wednesdays through Sundays. \nIn addition\, a Holiday Tea is planned for Saturday\, Nov. 25 ONLY\, 1-3 p.m. EST at Hester Hall. Tickets at $30 per person may be purchased HERE. \nEvent hours for the Holiday Marketplace are 10 to 5 Eastern\, both Friday & Sat.\, Nov. 24 and 25.
