
Hidden Trails: Hike Rugby!

Rugby volunteers will lead multiple hikes of various lengths along our 10 trails around Rugby on March 29. In the afternoon only, Travis Bow will be the leader. He’s stewardship ecologist for the state Division of Natural Areas and will lead us on the Kellogg’s Crack Loop Trail. Meet at at the times & places below (all times are Eastern) to join in. No registration required. Dress for the weather including comfortable hiking shoes/boots, bring water, a hiking stick if you have one and bug spray. (More details here)

Join Historic Rugby Board Chairperson and avid hiker Stephen McClure to hike the Gentlemen’s Swimming Hole – Meeting of the Waters Trail Loop, 2.3 miles. Meet at the Gentlemen’s Trail Head at the end of Laurel Branch Cemetery Rd. at 10 a.m. EDT. No registration required. Dress for the weather including comfortable hiking shoes/boots, hiking stick or poles, bug spray, water and snacks.

Join Rugby State Natural Area stewardship ecologist Travis Bow to walk the .85 mile Kellogg’s Crack Loop Trail. Meet at the Visitor Centre at 2 p.m. EDT to car pool to the trailhead off Highway 52. No registration required. Dress for the weather including comfortable hiking shoes/boots, hiking stick or poles, bug spray, water and snacks.
