National Trails Day: State Naturalist Hike!

Rugby volunteers will do something special June 6 for National Trails Day. We’ll have Tennessee’s new state naturalist, Roger McCoy leading us on a hike into the Rugby State Natural Area. McCoy is passionate about botany and quite knowledgeable about our plants. He was director of the state Division of Natural Areas from 2012 to 2019. Meet at the Visitor Center at 10 a.m. No registration required. Dress for the weather including comfortable hiking shoes/boots, bring water, a hiking stick if you have one and bug spray.
