Mike McGill returns to the Johnson Theatre stage in the Rugby Visitor Centre on December 7 and 14 at 8 pm Eastern. This is a free event that is open to the public with requested donations to Historic Rugby at the door. All are welcome – just give what you can. In addition to the man himself, this year’s guest list includes Knoxville (and Rugby) legend Jodie Manross, as well as an amazing backing band of some of Knoxville’s finest musicians.

Mike McGill has been a full-time singer/songwriter and musician for the past 25 years. He has performed in 28 states and 6 different countries. He’s a founding member of the classic country band The Drunk Uncles, the honky tonk band Barstool Romeos, lead singer & electric guitar player for The Cat House Prophets, and now fronts his own project, Mike McGill and The Refills. He has shared bills with noteworthy acts such as J.D. Crowe and the New South, Doyle Lawson, Junior Brown, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Southern Culture on the Skids, Corb Lund, The Kentucky Headhunters, BlackBerry Smoke, Shooter Jennings, John Anderson, Marty Stuart, Chris Stapleton & Sturgill Simpson. He also hosts a weekly podcast with co-host Jamie Akins called “One More for the Good Guys”.

Historic Rugby is a heritage treasure listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1972. It has been open to the public since 1966 as a non-profit 501 (c) 3 site and is recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. All donations are tax-deductible.
