New Year’s Day Hike

Join Friends of the Rugby State Natural Area for a little hike to welcome in 2026. We’ll start at 11 a.m. Eastern (10 Central) to be fresh from the previous night’s festivities. Just show up at the Historic Rugby Visitor Centre, dress appropriately, bring a hiking stick and some water. No registration needed.

We’ll go up the Massengale Loop and down the Allerton Trail, crossing Cox Branch on the NEW bridge just completed a few days ago (see photo), and return to the Visitor Centre via the Cox Branch Trail and Rugby Parkway.
