2024 marks the fifth annual “Grill Rugby: Cooking Demonstration and Dinner on the Lawn.” This evening of food and festivities on the lawn at picturesque Uffington House in Rugby is scheduled for two nights only, August 31 & September 1, on the long Labor Day weekend. The theme this year is “Country Picnic at the Beach,” so dress cool & casual as you like — even beach attire & flip-flops if that appeals!
Grill Rugby features an all-inclusive fixed dinner menu developed by Master Griller Steve Smart of Chattanooga. Saturday’s main courses will include beef tenderloin and shrimp, while Sunday’s guests will enjoy pork tenderloin and salmon fillet. Appetizers, sides, and desserts will round out the menu. The event also includes specialty cocktails and a silent auction for unusual items. Dinner is scheduled from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. (EDT) but plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start time if possible. This event is now SOLD OUT. Proceeds benefit Historic Rugby. This fundraising dinner event is organized and implemented entirely by volunteers and all expenses are covered by ticket sales, sponsors and in-kind donor gifts.
